I know that some people have had less-than enthusiastic responses to the show, but Sky and I began watching it recently and we are really liking it. It is disturbing to have a doll personality with my name, however, and every time someone says "Melly" I have to cringe a little.

I can't express how happy this series is making me. The only drawback is that there aren't that many seasons and that the seasons are relatively short (at least, compared to American television seasons). It is especially amusing to see hints of Greg House peeking through the gregarious and well-meaning, if not particularly bright, Wooster. Stephen Fry returned as a guest star on Bones in an episode that we just watched and both Sky and I shouted, "Jeeves!" when he came on screen. : )

Zombie a Go-Go is fantastic! The colors, the use of shadows and the dialogue are wonderful. I especially like the middle frame of #13. The site looks great and I absolutely want a shirt that says, "In the zombie apocalypse, everyone gets to be a villain." Yay! Happy Halloween! I can't wait to see more!

I have to say, I was a little dubious about this one. Yeah, yeah, it was done by the same people that did Sean of the Dead, I thought, but this is a police movie. I like zombie movies. Not so much with the police movies. I was wrong. Not about the police movie thing- I really don't like them. But this movie had me laughing out loud and our Sean of the Dead friends were as dead on as I could have hoped. This movie is absolutely worth watching.

Yay Gir! If you haven't tried it yet, you should try bobbing for peas for your guys. It was hot enough the other night that even Riddle and Sonnet, who are always ready for adventure, just looked at me in disbelief when I suggested out-time. Instead, I let them fish for peas on top of their cage and they were all running and eating frozen peas and wading through cold water, not to mention letting me sprinkle them with water. I tried a bowl first and Riddle promptly tipped it over. The plate worked well, though.

It depends on what I'm trying to do. For NaNoWriMo, you are supposed to write 1667 words per day in order to keep up with the deadline. That is pretty hard for me. Of course, then I fall far far far behind and have to catch up. My most productive day (writing-wise, since I certainly didn't get anything else done) was a Sunday that I spent all day writing. I mean all day. I think I wrote, with only small breaks here and there when Sky made me eat, for ten hours that day. I ended up with a daily total of 8,000 words. I'm not sure that I had time to shower. For July, I had a more modest goal and tried to write about a thousand words a day. That isn't too bad- takes me about an hour and a half to two hours, generally. Tennessee Williams wrote for two hours just about every day of his life. I'm sure that I'll never have that much discipline, but I've always been rather inspired by the thought.

I just wanted to say again how much I enjoyed Night of the Living Dead and the Rifftrax only made it even more fabulous. I'm still not quite sure why, but I can clearly recall my mother telling me the story-line of Night of the Living Dead (the original) when I was about twelve years old. Why on earth would that even have come up? I wasn't yet into zombies, just fantasy stuff at that point. Anyway, it was just as wonderful as my mother told me it would be.
